About me
Matthew Karas is a Toronto-based music engraver and editor specializing in new music and re-engravings of classic works. He has prepared materials for hundreds of composers and organizations, including Boosey & Hawkes, Dunvagen Music Publishers, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Canadian Opera Company, and the National Ballet of Canada. An electric guitarist and bassist, he is also interested in standardizing extended technique notation. Karas holds a degree in Music Theory and Composition from York University.
