About me
The USA International Harp Competition was founded in 1989 by world-renowned harpist Susann McDonald. As part of its mission to promote harp music, the USAIHC sponsors a Composition Contest every three years, prior to the performance Competition. A distinguished panel of harpists plus one composer select the winning composition. In 2019, the Contest was posthumously named in honor of its founder and director for the first six cycles, Dr. Ruth Inglefield. This and other opportunities for composers will be discussed.
