About me
Twelve-year-old Shengruo (Regina) Mei is a Year 7 student at
The Purcell School, where she is a joint first study student in harp and piano, studying harp
with Karen Vaughan. She began learning piano
at the age of five and harp at the age of
eight. Within six months of taking up the harp, she won first prize in a national harp
competition and was invited to perform at the
German Embassy. She achieved High Distinction in ABRSM Harp Grade 8 at the age of 10 and
passed ABRSM Grade 8 Music Theory with
Distinction at the age of 12. She has won
prizes in numerous national and international
competitions.
