About me
Samuel Ouellet Mata is a versatile cellist from Montreal and graduated from the Faculty of Music of the University of Montreal in 2026 under the guidance of Yegor Dyachkov. Mata’s classical training includes a variety of solo and chamber standard repertoire, combined with contemporary pieces of Caroline Lizotte and Nicole Lizée. His participation in his pop band and in the Faculty’s World Music Ensemble deepened his exploration of amplified cello, resulting in an interest in improvisation and electroacoustic music.
