About me
Masumi Nagasawa studied in the Netherlands with Phia Berghout. Masumi is a world-renowned harpist, celebrated for her expressiveness and stylistic mastery. She blends classical and contemporary repertoire with deep insight into 18th and 19th century performance practice. A PhD graduate from the University of Leeds, she researches the ancient Japanese Kugo harp.. Masumi performs on stages worldwide and leads masterclasses internationally. Honored with Japan’s Muramatsu Grand Prix and the Netherlands’ Prix d’Excellence, her 20 + recordings shine on leading international labels.
