About me
Marcelo Penido earned his Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in Harp Performance from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, studying with Susann McDonald. Penido serves professor de Harp at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in Brazil. He has performed with the leading Brazilian orchestras and has appeared in numerous festivals in Argentina, Australia, Spain, Italy, and Mexico. He is a member of the Word Harp Congress Board of Directors and, in 2026, celebrates 40 years dedicated to the harp.
