About me
Kyra Frimout is a harpist from the Netherlands with a passion for contemporary and electroacoustic music. She studied at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague with Ernestine Stoop and Sylvain Blassel. Kyra now studies at the Université de Montréal under the guidance of harpist-composer Caroline Lizotte, deepening her understanding of electroacoustic harp techniques. Kyra fuses traditional harp performance with modern technology, using live-electronics to expand the harp’s expression and redefine the instrument’s role in contemporary composition and improvisation.
