About me
Julie Umbrico began lessons with her mother, harpist Judy Loman‚ and continued with Alice Chalifoux at the Salzedo Harp School, and Marilyn Costello at the Curtis Institute of Music. Julie has performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player in ensembles across Canada including the Orford String Quartet, Les Amis Ensemble, the Toronto Symphony, Symphony Nova Scotia, and the Winnipeg Symphony. She teaches at the Oscar Peterson School of Music and has composed many intermediate-level pieces for the harp.
