About me
Dr. Joana Daunytė is harpist of the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, Associate Professor of Harp Performance at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, and director of Arfos menas (Harp Art), an organization dedicated to performance, education, and new repertoire. A soloist, chamber and orchestral musician, is often called Lithuania’s “harp ambassador.” Trained in Geneva, Amsterdam and Oslo, she became the first Lithuanian harpist to earn an Arts Doctorate (2024). Her Naxos release features M. K. Čiurlionis’ music.
