About me
Bernice Li is a Toronto harpist and emerging composer. She studies harp, violin, piano, and music theory, enriched by masterclasses, ensemble work, and competitions. Studying multiple instruments allows her to hear music from different perspectives and inspires a broader musical imagination: melodic phrasing shaped by the violin, harmonic depth informed by the piano, and the harp’s distinctive resonance and timbral colours. She views composition as an extension of performance, an opportunity to shape sound from within and explore how music expresses human emotion, identity, and connection.
