About me
Amber Nelms is an in-coming freshman at Vanderbilt University and
harpist with the Urban Youth Harp Ensemble. She studies under Elisabeth
Remy Johnson and serves as a teaching assistant for Urban Youth’s
afterschool harp program. Amber was selected principal harpist for the
Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra’s 2025–2026 season and has performed
across Atlanta, including at Symphony Hall and the Fox Theatre. Her
future goals include becoming Principal Harpist of the Atlanta Symphony
and teaching students the harp.
