About me
Tom Allen is a Canadian public radio broadcaster, concert host, trombonist, and author. He has hosted classical and popular music programming on CBC Music since 1991. Allen works as a concert host and a creative consultant for symphony orchestras, has published three books of autobiographical non-fiction and, with his wife harpist Lori Gemmell creates chamber musicals that blend storytelling, history, and music to create compelling and extraordinary works of theatre, that breathe life into historical musicians and writers.
