The Turkish Harp project promotes Turkish music globally by blending historical traditions with modern harp practices. It rests on two pillars: reviving the “çeng”—an ancient Near-Eastern harp lost for 400 years—and establishing a universal musical language through annotated editions for contemporary harpists. By bringing the çeng’s legacy to modern instruments, the project aims to amplify Turkish music’s presence within the international music community. Ultimately, it bridges the gap between a rich cultural past and the present, ensuring this expressive tradition reaches harpists, harp educators and listeners worldwide.
