Duo Shockoe features harpists Dr. Colleen Thorburn and Dr. Jaclyn Wappel who share nearly a decade of musical camaraderie since forming in Richmond, Virginia. As Duo Shockoe they have performed extensively across the U.S. East Coast and, as soloists, across four continents, including presenting a lecture recital at the 45th AHS National Conference. They specialize in reimagining, rediscovering, and arranging challenging, rarely performed harp duo works, advancing the repertoire with virtuosic yet accessible pieces.
